ONIBAR brought a fresh take on onigiri to Berlin: Japanese rice snacks with a range of savoury fillings, prepared as a convenient option for lunch or a quick bite. Its menu combined the familiar rice-and-nori format with both Japanese-inspired and international flavours.

Options ranged from chicken and duck to mushroom, tofu and pumpkin, with sides adding more ways to put together a meal. The concept focused on making onigiri approachable as an everyday food, with enough variety for different tastes and occasions. ONIBAR translated a recognisable Japanese staple into a distinctive urban food concept built around convenience, choice and a compact format.
