Backing JUPUS to give law firms more time for their clients

We’ve joined JUPUS’s €1.3 million seed round, supporting René Fergen and Jannis Gebauer as they automate the administrative work behind a new legal case.

Backing JUPUS to give law firms more time for their clients

We’ve invested in JUPUS as part of its €1.3 million seed round led by High-Tech Gründerfonds. We’re joining existing investors and backing René Fergen and Jannis Gebauer as they develop an AI assistant for law firms.

Before a lawyer can assess a case, a team needs to collect information, request documents, arrange appointments and respond to enquiries. JUPUS brings these steps together, helping firms organise incoming work and communicate with prospective clients.

That is the opportunity we see: useful AI built around a specific, repeated workflow. Reducing the effort involved in opening a case can give legal teams more time to focus on the people seeking their advice.

Hundreds of lawyers across Germany are already using JUPUS. With the new funding, the team plans to develop its software further. We’re pleased to join René and Jannis as they make it easier for law firms to manage their day-to-day work.
