Openlaw raises $3.3 million to simplify company formation

Openlaw has closed a $3.3 million seed round to expand its digital legal and notary infrastructure. Investors include Y Ventures, Moonfire Ventures, Zeno Ventures, Combination Ventures and Orange Collective, alongside angel investors. The company is a graduate of Y Combinator’s Fall 2024 batch.

Through its German platform beglaubigt.de, Openlaw brings document preparation, notary appointments and register filings into a connected process. The platform coordinates the administrative work, while legal advice and notarisation remain with the notaries.

For founders, that means a clearer route through a process that can otherwise involve multiple organisations and disconnected steps. Openlaw plans to use the funding to broaden its offering beyond company formation, with additional registration processes and ongoing business administration.

We’re pleased to support Alexander Sporenberg, Felix Gerlach and the team as they make starting and running a company easier.
