JUPUS raises €13 million to scale AI for law firms
Our portfolio company is expanding its AI platform to help small and mid-sized law firms manage growing workloads and give lawyers more time for their clients.
June 23, 2026

JUPUS has secured €13 million in Series A funding, led by Semapa Next. NRW.BANK joins through its venture capital fund NRW.Venture, alongside returning investors Acton Capital and High-Tech Gründerfonds. The funding will support product development, growth in Germany and expansion into further European markets. HTGF
For many law firms, administrative work has become a constraint on growth. Teams must handle incoming calls, collect client information and prepare cases while qualified support staff become harder to find. JUPUS addresses these everyday challenges with AI that handles client enquiries, organises information, prepares case files and supports legal document creation. By connecting these tasks into a workflow, the platform helps practices create more capacity for client service and substantive legal work. StartupValley
The funding follows a year of strong growth. JUPUS reported a fourfold increase in annual recurring revenue in 2025, while its user base and the number of cases processed more than doubled. At the June 2026 announcement, over 2,000 lawyers were using the platform, with more than 2,000 new cases passing through its AI each day. Founded in Cologne in 2022 by René Fergen and Jannis Gebauer, JUPUS is now preparing to bring its approach to more firms across Europe. HTGF
Congratulations to René, Jannis and the entire JUPUS team on this milestone. We’re proud to be part of the journey.
