Backing Octomind to make software testing easier

We’ve invested in Octomind as part of its $4.8 million seed round led by Cherry Ventures. We’re backing Marc Mengler and Daniel Rödler as they tackle a persistent challenge for software teams: checking that an application still works as it changes.

Octomind is building AI agents that explore web applications and help test important user journeys. The aim is to reduce the effort needed to create and maintain end-to-end tests.

For us, the need becomes more pressing as AI helps developers produce software faster. Teams still need a reliable way to check the experience their users will actually have, from signing in to completing a purchase.

The funding will help Octomind improve its technology’s understanding of applications and its ability to identify critical flows. We’re pleased to join Marc and Daniel as they work with their user community to make testing a more manageable part of software development.
